About DCF
is a community of students from various backgrounds who come together to encourage, strengthen, and support one another in their pursuit of God, personal growth, leadership development, fun, and solid friendships.
It is our joy and purpose to reach out and serve the needs of others who haven’t heard the message of Jesus Christ. This ministry began in Davis in 1991 and is a ministry of the national Chi Alpha Campus Ministries. Please look at our contact page for more info about our staff.
Friday Night Meetings
Every Friday night we gather to worship God on campus and to encourage one another as we listen to a relevant message from God’s word. Come and check it out! The meetings are on most Fridays during the school term in Wellman 2. Check the Calendar for the next meeting.
Retreats
There are opportunities throughout the year for us to get away to local retreat centers for reflection, inspiration, focused time of learning from God’s world, refreshment, and a ton of fun!
Mission Trips
We are committed to sending teams of students all over the world in service and sharing of Christ’s love. In the past, we have taken teams over Spring break and the summer in to places like Argentina, Brazil, Mozambique, Spain, Mexico, Stockton, and San Francisco. Click here for more info.
Small Groups
Our weekly small groups are called ‘core’ groups. These are a weekly gathering of a smaller group of students involving different elements such as bible study, prayer, service opportunities, social interaction, worship, and evangelism. How to Get Involved
See our Student Officers section to contact the ministry coordinator for your area of interest. If you want to serve, this is the place! We are always open to new ideas as well. E-mail a campus pastor for more information.
Ministry Center
There is a place for you to gather to talk, study, pray, eat lunch, work on a computer, or hang out with friends. The DCF ministry house is located at 312 A st, right across the street from campus by Toomey field. Contact us at 530-792-7345. There is a resource library and prayer room too! Local Church
DCF is a ministry of the national campus ministry “Chi Alpha” an outreach of the Assemblies of God denomination. Many of us attend Davis Christian Assembly, a great local church located at 3030 Sycamore Ln. This church is super supportive and welcoming of college students. Service times are 10am and if you need a ride either talk to your Core group leader or check the contact us section and we will hook you up!
