MEET THE STAFF
Will & Jen Klier
Thanks for checking out the site! Jen and Will co-direct DCF. If you have questions about this ministry, don’t hesitate to ask. Will graduated from UC Davis in Communication and Religous Studies. During his undergrad he served as an RA, Summer Advisor, and ASUCD Senator. So if you have questions about God or the campus he might be able to help you out. He met Jen when she came to UCD back in 1999. She graduated from Western Washington University with a degree in Linguistics and Spanish. They married May 28, 2005 and have been serving as directors since. They have two beautiful girls, Joy and Mercy, and another child on the way. |
Jack & Renee Hammond
Hi! I am Jack Hammond. I graduated from University of the Pacific with a Geology degree and in the process of accomplishing that I learned how wonderful Jesus was. I started working with DCF/Chi Alpha right out of college and have been working full-time with them ever since. My favorite Bible verse is Matt 10:7 where Jesus says, “Freely you have received, freely give.” I love freebies! My coolest fact about myself is my wife and kids (Renee, Jake and Molly). They make me laugh every day. |
Michelle Freeman
Michelle graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in Psychology and Religious Studies. After moving all over the country (mostly the South), she finally arrived in Davis and joined staff in 2008. Before coming to UCD, she worked with Chi Alpha at Montana State University. Some of her favorite things to do are take photos, ballroom dance, read a fun book, and have a good conversation over coffee with students. If you have any questions about core groups or just want to hang out, contact Michelle! |
MEET THE CMIT INTERNS (Campus Missionaries in Training)
Marc Afshar
Marc Afshar is a recent graduate of the University of California, at Davis earning a degree in the biological sciences. Encountering God after his third year of college, he decided to submit his life to Jesus Christ. Through serving the Davis campus, Marc has understood the calling God has placed on his life and has dedicated this next upcoming year as a campus missionary. His heart is to see each student encounter the powerful transforming love of God just as he has. Marc is also involved with the UC Davis Gospel Choir as a student leader and director, is an avid basketball player and enjoys composing his own music. |
Katie Cannon
Hey! My name is Katie Cannon. Most people call me by my first and last name- even my mom! I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and ended up at Arizona State University. The goal was to enjoy the “party lifestyle.” Jesus intercepted my life on campus, and now I’m having more fun and adventure than I could ever imagine! I love fast facts, cupcakes, making up my own words, bacon, and free stuff. My absolute favorite thing, however, is meeting new people and making new friends! I’m excited to learn as much as possible during my CMIT year at Davis! |
Chris Garcia
Chris is a graduate of UC Davis where he majored in Sociology and minored in Music. He is originally from San Diego but has found a new appreciation and love for Davis (along with the rest of NorCal). During his undergrad at UC Davis, Chris led a Core Group, served on the worship team, and was a student leader for the UC Davis Gospel Choir. While Chris desires to go to graduate school and get involved with education, he has placed that on hold to pursue his calling to serve on a greater level as a Campus Missionary in Training (CMIT). His desire is to see lives transformed and renewed through the love and power of Jesus Christ. His focus is to be relational, authentic, and honest with everyone he is honored to meet. |
