We reconcile students to Christ, equipping them through Spirit-filled communities of discipleship, prayer, worship, fellowship and witness to transform the university, the marketplace and the world.
We believe in following Jesus and making disciples of all nations. We love because He first loved us (1 John 4:19). As we obey Jesus, we teach others to do the same (2 Tim. 2:2).
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
2 Timothy 3:16-17
Prayer
Prayer
We believe prayer is powerful and that God desires to partner with us to bring Heaven onto Earth (Matt. 6:9-13). We believe in the power of the Holy Spirit to transform lives, bring healing and hope, and move among us in supernatural ways.
“And I, when I came to you, brothers, did not come proclaiming to you the testimony of God with lofty speech or wisdom. For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. And I was with you in weakness and in fear and much trembling, and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.”
1 Corinthians 2:1-5
Worship
Worship
We believe that our whole lives are a sacrifice of worship. We prioritize the presence of God and we pray that in DCF you will tangibly encounter God.
To God be all the glory (1 Cor. 10:31).
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.”
Romans 12:1
Fellowship
Fellowship
We believe that we can't do life alone. There are aspects of God that can only be experienced through and with other people. Welcome to the family!
For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us.
Romans 12:4-6
witness
witness
We believe in living a life that reflects our relationship with God in what we say and do. May the Gospel be spread throughout UC Davis and the nations.
“Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.’”
