We reconcile students to Christ, equipping them through Spirit-filled communities of discipleship, prayer, worship, fellowship and witness to transform the university, the marketplace and the world.
We believe in following Jesus and making disciples of all nations. We love because He first loved us, and as we obey Jesus, we teach others to do the same (1 John 4:19).
"And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others"
2 Timothy 2:2
Prayer
Prayer
We believe prayer is powerful. We believe in a God who is always good and who desires to partner with us to bring Heaven onto Earth (Matt. 6:10). We believe in the power of the Holy Spirit to transform lives, bring healing and hope, and move among us in supernatural ways.
“And I, when I came to you, brothers, did not come proclaiming to you the testimony of God with lofty speech or wisdom. For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. And I was with you in weakness and in fear and much trembling, and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.”
1 Corinthians 2:1-5
Worship
Worship
We believe in prioritizing the presence of God and that the natural reaction to knowing Jesus is worship. We pray that in DCF you will tangibly encounter God.
To God be all the glory (1 Cor. 10:31) and may we live all aspects of our life as worship.
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.”
Romans 12:1
Fellowship
Fellowship
We believe that we can't do life alone. There are aspects of God that can only be experienced through and with other people. Welcome to the family!
“The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ. Some of us are Jews, some are Gentiles, some are slaves, and some are free. But we have all been baptized into one body by one Spirit, and we all share the same Spirit.”
1 Corinthians 12:12-13
witness
witness
We believe in living a life that reflects our relationship with God in what we say and do.
May the Gospel be spread throughout UC Davis and the nations.
“Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.’”
